I'm a child and my Guinea pig. She loves me petting her chin and putting her back and she always likes being next to me. 1 day we slepaltogether the key was sleeping next to me and I was just falling asleep.

I am shocked that you said kale is not good to give every day as I read the reverse and I have been giving my adult Guinea pigs kale every day for over a month. I have only had them a month. Anyway, I will definitely stop that as I only want to give food that is 100% the right food.

Sometimes education is absolutely important, I am about to pick up my first 2 bonded pair of piggies, and before i even knew anything i automatically assumed you bought an outdoor hutch. However i started watching youtube videos and I wanted them inside more for the weather and then learnt about their space requirement, social interactions, needs etc and I'm absolutely obsessed now. But sometimes it does come down to, they might not have known and hopefully after sending their photo they can make changes.

some of these i feel like the answer is honestly just to give up the guinea pigs because if its a kid and the parent is completely apposed to helping or even letting the pigs inside then what else can you do? its a awful idea and big fail on the parent to even get their kid a pig in the first place and then just not help ever again.

My parents always bought the expensive bags from tractor supply but I’m looking for something cheaper but still high quality: absorb smells, good for guinea pig, and doesn’t soil easy. Thanks!!!

i agree with the children having animals part !! i’m 17 and have a hammy named leo and he’s lived for over 2 years and i’ve taken care of him. when i was about 13 i had a lot of hamsters and they all passed within a couple months and it’s sad ! but i now understand proper hammy care and hope Leo lives a long full happy life ❤️❤️.

Ha Georgia, SC here so I know what you mean about the hwat snd bugs! There is a cat door for windows. Our summers are hot so you want to keep the cool indside and the cat door for windows is awsome. I had one a very long time ago when I was still in rescue. I also had 2 dog kennels atached to the house made a catio for the cats but when I moved all that didn't worked anymore.:( It was awsome gor the cats . I miss my old house.😢

How did you attach it to the sidings? My landlord don't even let me hang pictures or blinds. I want one so bad for my rescued cats. They need sunlight too. My dogs go out but the poor cats have yo stay in. ( horrible)

Also since you say these people have small cages but what about at the pet store? They have them in those tiny cages

I had to put down my guinea pig because his teeth grew to his eye, but the thing is we gave him lots of hay to help grind down the teeth to I'm very confused

I am getting my 4 year old two guinea piggies soon, and lets be honest they're for me 🤣 but she will absolutely love being involved, helping me feed them, hold them, clean their cages with me. She already helps me with my chores and cooking because she just wants to be involved. I believe this will be an amazing opportunity for her to bond with new pets (we gave 2 dogs) but I will always be the responsible person for making sure the piggies have a safe, clean and fun experience living with us.

I have two gerbils and before them I had 2 more and a mouse my mouse died of old age and my two first gerbils are egg and toast and toast died of sickness my other gerbil died of his brothers twig and egg 😅

The minimum was 40gal in 2022 but now it’s more 75gal so if you haven’t upgraded you should try ❤
